On Saturday 3 May, 2008, 17 year old Sam Davis played a game of football, had a schnitzel for dinner at the clubrooms, and then went out to a party to celebrate a friend’s birthday, just like he had many times before. Only this time, Sam didn’t come home. Sam’s life was tragically cut short when he fell victim to a one-punch assault.
The Sammy D Foundation was established in Sam’s memory to educate young people about the harm and impact of violence, and the consequences it has on victims, perpetrators, bystanders, families, friends and the broader community.

Foodbank SA is the largest food relief charity in South Australia, with a vision to end hunger. Foodbank SA provides food relief to 135,000 South Australians with food relief every month. One third of these are children. In the last 12 months alone, Foodbank SA has provided more than 7.2 million meals to those in need across the state.
For every 5 x cans or bottles deposited for Foodbank with Direct Collect, Foodbank will be able to put 1 meal on the table of someone in need in the community.

Bowel cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related death in Australia, claiming around 5,000 lives every year. The good news is that up to 90% of cases can be successfully treated, if detected early.
Jodi Lee Foundation raises awareness to educate all Australians about bowel cancer prevention and the steps to prevent it by being healthy and active, exploring family history, acting on symptoms and taking a screening test.

Bedford is a not-for-profit registered charity that exists to support people with disability to live the life they choose through a diverse range of skill-building opportunities, from social activities through to open employment. Underpinning this is the belief that diversity, inclusivity and acceptance equals belonging for people of all ability.
People with disability who live, work and receive care from Bedford need to do more than just get by, they should be given the opportunity and resources to learn, grow and live meaningful, confident lives. Choosing Bedford for your Direct Collect monies will support people with disability in areas that NDIS funding does not cover. The Advertiser Foundation was set up 30 years ago to raise money and awareness for South Australian grass-roots charities. Our focus is primarily children and youth, social welfare and human rights including homelessness and domestic violence.
For this period of time, we will be supporting the Hutt St Centre and Catherine House through the Sunday Mail Blanket Appeal. The Hutt St Centre is a place of connection and support, where people facing homelessness are empowered to rebuild their lives, rediscover their identities and reconnect with those who love them. This appeal will help purchase waterproof swags for those sleeping rough. Catherine House provides crisis, longer term accommodation and support services to women experiencing homelessness in South Australia.

We collect plastic bread tags nationally in Australia. The tags are recycled locally in Robe, SA, raising funds to buy wheelchairs for disadvantaged people, mainly in South Africa. We also help fund services for the disabled in the Asia Pacific.

THE SUM OF ALL ARTS. The Mill is South Australia’s leading NFP multidisciplinary arts organisation. We provide studio space for more than 50 creatives from all art forms, alongside galleries, performance space and development programs to nurture artists, and connect them with audiences.

We are Community Help and Togetherness or CHATS. We are 100% volunteer-run with four board members and around 30 hard-working volunteers. Our purpose is to provide a weekly fully-cooked breakfast in Port Adelaide, aiming to bring together people who are socially isolated and identifying as in need, also providing them with food hampers, clothing and bedding.

Our Landcare group protects and restores the high value natural vegetation from Morialta through to Coralinga (Cherryville). We educate and provide resources to our members and the public. We actively carry out weed control and revegetate with indigenous local seedlings.

Hutt St Centre is a place of connection and support, where people facing homelessness are empowered to rebuild their lives, rediscover their identities and reconnect with those who love them. When people walk through our doors we help fulfil their immediate needs, like a shower, a meal, and a charged phone, while our 20+ visiting services provide support ranging from medical check-ups to financial counselling.

Mitchell Park Football Club is located on Moreland Avenue, Mitchell Park. The club was established in 1968 and currently fields 2 men’s team and a women’s team in the Adelaide Footy League. We also have a juniors program with the SANFL.

The Zahra Foundation Australia provide specialist programs for people recovering from family and domestic violence. They provide tailored educational programs and financial counselling services to promote economic empowerment and support women and non-binary folk on the journey to recovery. The specialised programs provide pathways to education, training and employment and focus on economically empowering women, helping to break the cycle of violence.

Adelaide Hockey Club is one of the largest hockey clubs in South Australia. We were incorporated in 1981 as a result of the merger of Aroha Women’s Hockey Club and Sturt Men’s Hockey Club. With over 650 members, our players are aged from 7 to 80+ years old across 20 junior and 13 senior teams in competitions affiliated with Hockey South Australia. Ronald McDonald House Charities SA is located in North Adelaide and can accommodate up to 20 families in both a communal or self- contained style accommodation. It is a place of care and understanding ~ a place where families can remain together as a family unit in times of great stress and uncertainty.
They leave their extended family, friends and community support network for treatment programs which can be long with Ronald McDonald House becoming home for months. For others, treatment can be life long with regular shorter stays. Whatever the need, these families find friendship, advocacy and support here with Ronald McDonald House being their safe haven.

The St Vincent de Paul Society SA (affectionately known as Vinnies) has been an integral part of the South Australian community since 1884. Providing assistance throughout metropolitan and regional SA, Vinnies is committed to assisting people experiencing disadvantage with a hand up through a focus on food, clothing and shelter.
Along with practical support, Vinnies offers a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to supporting people in need, and advocates on behalf of those who do not have a voice on issues such as the shortage of affordable housing; the inadequacy of social security payments; refugee and asylum seeker policy and more.

OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation. We save surplus food from ending up in landfill and deliver it to charities that help feed people in need. We are constantly looking for new ways to inspire and educate people about food waste, food security and sustainability. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.
In SA, we operate in Adelaide and Victor Harbor. Currently, we rescue over 20 tonnes of quality surplus food each week from more than 100 food donors including supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, hotels, and food outlets and deliver directly to more than 100 charitable agencies. That’s 45,000 meals every week that go to those who need it, instead of into landfill.

The Goodwood Baseball Club was founded in 1889 and is the oldest baseball club in South Australia and the oldest continuous baseball club in Australia. Winning 21 Division 1 premierships throughout our history, we have developed strong ties with the local community through our Junior, Little League and Senior Programs. Safe Pets Safe Families is a not-for-profit registered charity providing support through programs and services to pet owners in the South Australian community facing disadvantage or crisis, such as domestic violence, homelessness, mental illness or a medical emergency. Founder Jennifer Howard started Safe Pets Safe Families in 2013 after surviving her own experience of domestic violence, where sadly she did not have a choice on whether to keep her beloved dogs when she fled to safety with her children. Safe Pets Safe Families respects and values the human-animal bond and is committed to reducing the incidence of abuse, neglect, surrender and euthanasia in companion animals.

They offer playing opportunities to boys and girls across Auskick, Juniors, Youth, and Senior Men and Women competitions.

The Adelaide Jaguar’s FC is a not for profit, community soccer club, which provides opportunities for women and girls of all ages to access the physical, mental and social benefits of community sport. As the fastest growing female only soccer club in South Australia, we have grown from 2 junior teams to 19 teams with ages ranging from 4 to over 60.

As the first Surf Life Saving Club in South Australia, Henley is looking forward to celebrating 100 years of keeping the public safe on Adelaide's most popular suburban beach in 2025. The club is proud to provide a community centre in the western suburbs that is inclusive and was rated Australia's best Surf Life Saving Club by WOTIF in 2024. We rely on the hard work of our volunteers to patrol the beach from October to April, but need community support to fund the programs - from sport for kids of all abilities to rescue craft for our patrol members - that help us serve anyone who wants an enjoyable, safe day at the beach.
